The Atok Janggut’s Family Day was definitely a memorial day for my entire family!

It was the 25th of December (MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS) and I was filled with pure adrenaline. Now that you think about it, remembering every detail about that event made me realize how special spending time with your family is.

My aunt -the mastermind behind the entire thing- booked a super cozy and LUXURIOUS homestay for us…with a frickin’ pool!!!!! It even has those super neat fountains and loads of yard space. It came with complimentary bikes and I believe a dart board.

Anyway, we had a rocky start that afternoon at home -not getting into any personal details because it’s kind of sad- and arrived at 8.00 pm! We missed so much even though the ACTUAL activities haven’t started yet. My cousins swam, did TikToks and had so much fun without me…

Then we had dinner, but not something that was a dime a dozen. EVERYONE chipped in and ordered so many mouth-watering food! I was tempted to gobble everything down like the greedy hippo that I am. However my mom gave me the side-eye and I decided to back up a little.

We were stuffed until our tummies exploded (figuratively). After that heaven-of-a-dinner my aunt wanted to play ‘Mom Trivia’, basically she prepared prizes for the adults and would give it to them if they got an answer right. Answers to random questions about my grandmother. Boy, it was one heck of a time. We were rolling when she asked about her IC number (don’t ask) and my other aunt replied with her EX-HUSBAND’S.

Luckily my mom got ONE answer right and earned a Strawberry Skin Lotion from Bath and Body.

Later we all decided to just hit the hay at 10.00 pm…
